Benjamin Moore
You don't have to be a professional painter to beautify and protect your home's exterior like a pro. Days Paint and Design would like to share Benjamin Moore's tips on Painting the Exterior of Your Home.
Preparing to Paint
First, remove as many items as you can (planters, mailboxes, shutters, house numbers, hoses, outdoor furniture, light fixtures, etc.). Then be sure to protect any bushes or items that can’t be removed by covering them up with drop cloths. You can also put drop cloths under the areas you plan to paint.
Next, be sure to clean (an option is to power wash), repair (fill in holes or cracks with caulk), and prime all surfaces before painting.
A new coat of Benjamin Moore paint or stain will add beauty and protection to your home’s exterior.
What to Look for in an Exterior Paint
1.Durability
Benjamin Moore paints are formulated to adhere to exterior surfaces, and resist cracking and peeling caused by weathering, sunlight and abrasion.
2.Smooth Application
With virtually no spattering, Benjamin Moore paints are designed for easy application and outstanding, flawless results.
Benjamin Moore already has the most extensive selection of colours—some 3,000-plus. But, that has not stopped the 128-year-old iconic American paint company from developing an all-new palette of 240 exceptional, eye-candy hues that it has named Colour Stories. And, yes, there is a story behind Colour Stories; an impressive one, in fact.
These colours have a greater clarity, purity and are richer than conventional colours because they are formulated with more pigments in very precise, exacting amounts. Handcrafted blends, they reflect Benjamin Moore's mastery of colour science and cement the company's position as the leading colour authority.
